Mājas etiķi

For several years the farm "Dzilnas" has been experimenting with making vinegars from home-grown berries and fruit. The main vinegar maker is the farm's mistress Rita Strauta, who holds a food technologist's diploma and has experience in processing fruit and berries and in food production. The special value of these products is that the vinegars are neither pasteurised nor filtered, so they retain all their vitamins and minerals. This makes them not only great flavour enhancers but also gives them healing and therapeutic properties. Three kinds of homemade vinegar are currently available: blackcurrant, redcurrant and apple. Everything produced on the farm is home-grown; no chemical additives are used for growth or ripening. Recipes and ways to use the vinegars can also be found on our FB and IG pages: majasetikis. Outside the farm, the products can be bought at the LPKS "Kuldīgas labumi" shops in Kuldīga, Pilsētas laukums 7A, and in Ventspils, Lielais prospekts 34, as well as at Kuldīga Market. The business was registered with the PVD in 2020.
