ZS Mētras

An organic farm. We grow Japanese quince, rhubarb, pumpkins and more. However, large-scale farming is not what we are aiming for. We choose to create maximum added value by carefully processing what we grow in our own home production under the brand "Mētru gardumi". "Mētru gardumi" is run by us - Iveta and Uldis - in our time off from our day jobs. It does take up most of our free time and is already becoming a way of life, because we have the desire and enthusiasm to create something new to delight and surprise our customers and to challenge ourselves. The family kitchen has now become too small for production, so we have converted the garage for home production, though our first attempts started in an ordinary oven, drying candied fruit for ourselves, relatives and friends. As demand has grown, we have expanded our range: there are various berry chips, pastilles, jams, marmalade, syrups and quince juice. In summer 2019 "Mētru gardumi" won the "People's Taste" title at the regional Novada Garša event organised by LLKC, and in autumn 2020 our quince jams won silver and gold medals in the professional product quality competition at the Novada Garša final event. We sell most of our products directly, through our online shop www.metras.lv, and in various shops ("Latvijas pērles", "Rimi Klēts", etc.). As "Mētru gardumi" we try to be active and visible on Facebook and Instagram, where you can follow our everyday life. We deliver goods via parcel lockers throughout Latvia and abroad. Free shipping on orders from 50 eur. In the Ogre area and central Rīga, direct delivery is possible by prior arrangement. We will be happy to help you put together tasty gift sets for your loved ones, friends, colleagues or business partners. We can combine both sweet and savoury gifts to suit your wishes. See the full holiday offer in the Gift Sets section of the www.metras.lv online shop.
