Right in the heart of Ventspils, at the Ventspils market, you will find the Ventspils winery and brewery "WINDAU WINES", where wines, ciders, sparkling wines, spirits and even our own BEER are made on site! The drinks are made from berries, fruit, flowers and even birch sap gathered near and far around the area. Especially well known and loved is our Birch Sap Wine - a wine that has travelled to the farthest corners of the world, such as Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, France, Germany, Russia and others. The winery's range changes over time; we constantly offer more than five different types of wine, as well as several kinds of liqueurs, fruit brandies, brandy, calvados (apple brandy), gin and even whisky. For beer lovers we offer natural beers brewed from grain malts without sugar. The beer range changes, but we try to keep a Lager (pale) and a STOUT-style dark, or Black, beer in our selection. Our products can be bought in our little shop at Tirgus iela 8, Ventspils, at various travelling markets and on our website www.windauwines.lv. For unhurried visitors we also offer wine, spirits or beer tastings - please arrange the time in advance.
